County Council's business support team Enterprising Nottinghamshire
has helped to spruce up Richard Branson's image for his latest
venture,
The team
stepped in at he last minute to find a local company able to
produce a trendy new jumper for the multi-millionaire to wear
at the launch of a new package tour company aimed at Britains
vast army of night-clubbers.
The Company,
Manumission Trips, was formed by Nottinghamshire based brothers
Mike and Andy McKay after their huge success setting up on of
Ibiza's foremost "rave" venues.
Mike and
Andy have joined forces with Branson to provide a range of European
holiday spots for clubbers through Virgin Holidays - and organised
a publicity day at the Virgin Megastore in Oxford Street, London,
to kick start the company.
With just
days to go before the event, they decided to provide their guest
of honour with a sweater sporting the Manumission logo - and
that's when they contacted Nottinghamshire County Council for
help to find a company which could deliver the goods.
The Enterprising
Nottinghamshire team - which is currently involved in a major
scheme to provide new staff training initiatives for business
- was able to come up with a name which could help.
Teritex
Ltd. or Ollerton had less than a day to receive the Manumission
design, produce the Jacquard sweater and send it safely on its
way by courier to London in time for Branson's visit.
The
entire production team dropped everything else to carry out
this unusual commission.
